There are lots of wonderful bellydancers in the Charlottesville area and beyond! Here are some of our sisters in dance:

Cinnamon Phoenix is a superb professional troupe of skilled bellydancers and musicians who produce beautiful dances inspired by myths of the psyche.

Fire in the Belly is an excellent professional American Tribal troupe that puts on an outstanding and unique show.

Amalia is a brilliant soloist who regularly graces Bashir's.

Mountain Mirage is a new amalgamation of skilled, experienced, dedicated dancers who are mutually supportive of each other's diversity in a way that will continue to nourish their skills. They have been producing interesting and engaging group numbers and offer a wide range of traditional and eclectic solos as well.

CVAMEDA is the "Central Virginia Mideastern Dance Association". If you would like regular updates on bellydance events occurring in central Virginia, just join this group!

Zakiyaa's bellydance blog: Zakiyaa is an excellent local bellydance student who has begun recording her experiences. She also has a good links page.
